Letzten Sonntag sind mein lieber Mann und ich nach 4 langen Jahren wieder Halbmarathon gelaufen. Es war mein persönicher "Ich bin wieder fit" Marker.
Nach langer Pause war es schön, wieder so weit laufen zu können. Es hat riesigen Spaß gemacht. Auch das Wetter war toll. Gebraucht habe ich 2:17:06h, mein lieber Mann brauchte 1:57:42.
Last Sunday -after 4 long years- hubby and me finished a half marathon . It was my personal "I'm fit again"-marker. After a long break it was so good being able again to run so long. It was a huge fun. Also the weather was awesome. My time: 2:17:06h, hubby needed 1:57:42.

Am 8. Oktober wurde unsere Enkelin Lara geboren.Ganze 2330 g war sie schwer.
Lara, wir wünschen Dir einen guten Start ins Leben und viel Freude auf dieser schönen Welt.

Jetzt zeigt sich der Sommer noch mal von seiner besten Seite. Ich bin auf Suche nach den letzten Blüten des Sommers, möchte sie gern noch festhalten. Heute haben besonders Bienen und Schmetterlinge Gefallen an unserer Silberkerze (Cimicifuga) gefunden. Kein Wunder, denn sie duftet wunderschön nach Honig. Now the Summer still appears at one's best. I'm locking for the last blossoms of Summer.want to keep hold of them. Today especially bees and butterflies enjoy our Silver candle (cimicifuga). No miracle- its smell like honey is geogeous.

Der Sommer geht so langsam dem Ende entgegen und draußen riecht es bereits etwas nach Herbst. In unserem Garten macht sich ein Kürbis breit, sehr breit. Nur eine Pflanze sollte es sein- ein Hokkaido-Kürbis. Nun wächst und wächst sie und füllt bereits das ganze Gewächshaus aus. The summer is coming soon to the end and outside it is already smelling like autumn. In our garden a pumpkin is stretching widely, very widely. Only one plant it should have been- a Hokkaido pumpkin. Now it is growing and growing and already is filling the whole greenhouse.
Acht kleine Kürbisse hat sie hervorgebracht. Wir freuen uns auf reichlich Kürbissuppe. It has produced eight little pumpkins. We are looking forward to a lot of pumpkin soup.
Innen wird es unserer Riesenpflanze langsam zu eng. Nun guckt sie neugierig aus dem Dachfenster. Inside the glass house slowly it becomes to small for our giant plant. Now it is looking curious out of the window at the top of the roof.
Mein lieber Mann hat wirklich einen grünen Daumen. My dear husband has really a green thumb.
In London sind wir auf dem Kanal in Little Venice mit dem Boot bis nach Camden gefahren. Leider hat die Zeit zum Bummeln über die Märkte dort nicht mehr gereicht. Ein kürzlich gefundenes Lied hat mich daran erinnert: "Come back to Camden" von Morrissey. Mir gefällt das Lied. In London we went on the canals of Little Venice by boat to Camden. Sorry the time didn't reach for a stroll at the Camden Markets. A recently found song reminded me on this: "Come back to Camden" from Morrissey. I like the song.

... und gepflegten Vorgärten. Schön ist es hier. ... and neat front gardens. It is nice here.
Dann stehen wir am Eingang zu den berühmten Kew Gardens. Diese Parkanlage zählt zu den ältesten botanischen Gärten der Welt. Then we are standing at the entrance of the famous Kew Gardens. This park is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world.
Neben riesigen viktorianischen Gewächshäusern wie dem Palm House, Blumenbeeten... Besides huge victorian greenhouses like the Palm Hous, flower beds...
...und riesigen alten Rhododendronbüschen ...and huge old rhododendron bushes
...prägen hier vor allen Bäume und Sträucher das Bild... ...first of all trees and bushes form the picture here...
...und haben richtig Platz zur Entfaltung. ...and have lot of space to develop.
Erst einmal nutzen wir die Annehmlichkeiten einer Rundfahrt... First we make use of the pleasantness of a round trip...
...und staunen, wie groß der Park ist. Hinten sehen wir Kew Palace. ...and are astonished how big the park is. In the background we see Kew Palace.
Dann geht es hinein in ein Gewächshaus. Schon das Gebäude ist schön anzuschauen. Then we go into a greenhouse. Already the building is nice to see.
Seltsame Pflanzen gibt es zu sehen. There are showed curious plants.
Manche Büsche sehen fast wie Lilien aus. Aber wir lassen uns nicht täuschen. Some bushes almost look like lilies. But we don't let us be fooled.
Natürlich fehlen auch Orchideen nicht. Of couse also orchidaceus are not missing.
Auch ausgefallene Tiere gibt es zu sehen. Courious animals are also shown.
Danach bummeln wir durch den Park und bestaunen die tolle Gestaltung mit weiten Sichtachsen. Weithin ist die Pagode zu sehen. After this we stroll through the park and marvel at the awesome composition with long view axis. From far away you can see the pagoda.
Wir entdecken idyllische Plätze am Wasser,... We discover idyllic places at the water,...
...sehen einen Pfau,... ...see a peacock,...

...und freuen uns an schönen alten Bäumen. ... and enjoy the beautiful old trees.
Der Park ist eine tolle Erholungsoase. The park is an awesome oasis for recreation.
